Extra Credit - Combination of Sound Project & Artist Statement

I was very lucky enough to have a fun and interesting subject. I had, who I thought was one of the shiest classmate, but that wasn't the case. Once I got the chance to have a conversation with her she was very open and ready to share me her story. We right away had a connection when the topic of dreams came about. Her story was extremely interesting considering the fact that I've never  met someone who was highly interested in Animation and Editing, especially wanting to work for Disney. Disney to me is a fun and playful topic, and that's the approach I took. I  now feel like it would have been a way more interesting approach if I took her story more serious. My audio project had a series of Disney beats and a song. My subject spoke about her favorite movie which was Aladdin, I inserted one of the soundtrack of the movie which I wish I didn't. The inserting of the soundtracks made the story seem cheesy and I felt like listeners were more intrigued with the background noise rather than her dreams and what she had to say. I do remember first starting this class and needing to write an artist statement, I remember it being about my passion for producing and photography and my relationship with only my camera. The sound project made me learn that I have a growing passion for connecting with other peoples stories. That being said I do see a change in myself and wanting to take my filmmaking to documentaries. This sound project was a learning experience in taking things more serious, in which I see myself doing.
